La Cantine in Montluçon
A trendy and warm decoration mingled in the most beautiful flea markets of France, a short menu guaranteeing a home cooking and fresh and local products evolving with the seasons, a welcome in all simplicity and wise advices for the choice of the proposed dishes… No doubt about it, the Resto/Bistro “La Cantine” is a good address that is worth the detour!
Valéry Verbeke welcomes you like at home in his establishment nestled in an alley of the medieval city of Montluçon.
You will taste a quality beef meat from local farms marketed by the company “De meuh en mieux manger”. And to continue to make your mouth water, here’s a glimpse of the other dishes on the menu: Knives with tarragon butter and roasted hazelnuts, Cod in a chorizo crust, Black pudding, its onion confit and potato puree, Crème brûlée with chestnut cream, Pavlova with red fruits… all accompanied by tasty wines from small producers.
We like: The “Cosy” and retro setting, the quality and the highlighting of local products, the warm welcome, the excellent quality/price ratio.
