How to play PÉPIT?

Fun, effective and accessible to all, this educational game based on the principle of geocaching (treasure hunting using GPS coordinates) is played using a free mobile application and offers walks with enigmas to encourage observation and practice of heritage, all in a game world populated by themed characters – the Zooms – guiding families on their quest…

At the end of each route, teams find a bottle – the treasure – in which they collect a reward: badges to collect bearing the effigy of a Zoom.

A unifying game in perpetual evolution at the initiative of the CAUE Allier

At present, families can play PÉPIT on their own, using 37 enigmatic walks based on 9 themes embodied by Zoom and linked to one or more educational files.

Each year, the game experience is enhanced by improvements to the application (illustrated glossary, jokers, etc.) and new routes are added to the existing offer.
In this way, we’re consolidating our coverage of the département and enabling the game to grow from strength to strength.

For the moment, our region is well represented, with the Montluçon urban route, the adventures of Hérisson, Meaulne and Isle-et-Bardais in the Tronçais forest, and the cycle route along the banks of the Berry canal, due to be launched in 2021.

A multitude of routes for a captivating experience

This innovative, interactive treasure hunt, based on the principle of geocaching, is played out using a free mobile application.

There are 32 enigmatic walks, ranging from 1 to 9 kms in length, encouraging visitors to discover the local heritage, all set in a game world with storylines and characters to help families on their quest.

At the end of each walk, if the answers to the riddles are correct, the GPS coordinates of the treasure are revealed! It’s a box containing real rewards to collect…

The Domaine de la Ganne educational farm in Prémilhat

Covering some 50 hectares, the farm is home to a herd of Highland cattle from Scotland, as well as ornamental poultry, Vietnamese pigs, watusis, kangaroos and Bennett’s Wallaby. A wide range of activities are available by prior arrangement: children’s birthdays, guided tours for individuals (approx. 2 hrs), full or half days at the farm for schools, leisure centres, etc., direct sales, etc.

This complex has pits from 6 to 20 m deep, offering a unique opportunity to try your hand at diving.

This complex has pools ranging in depth from 6 to 20 metres, offering a unique opportunity to try your hand at diving.

The Espace Aquatique is a real leisure area dedicated to swimming and water games, with a 50-metre sports pool with eight lanes and a 25-metre outdoor pool ideal for swimming.

To relax and have fun, there’s a fun pool with massaging hydrojets, a bubbling bench, water cannons, a counter-current river, air bubble plates, a mushroom, a pentagliss as well as a paddling pool and a 60-metre waterslide to delight young and old alike.
