The Marcimoustache#6

The“Marcimoustache” is back after 5 successful editions, and is now eagerly awaited by participants!
Come along on foot or by bike along the paths of the Marcillat region and take part in this charity event aimed at preventing the dangers of so-called men’s diseases.

The Fédération Française de Vélo, in partnership with the commune of Marcillat-en-Combraille and its associations, as well as private partners loyal to the event, are continuing their involvement in the Movember® movement, by renewing the “MarciMoustache”.
This 4th edition will take place on Sunday 2 November 2025, starting at 8.30am from the Salle Polyvalente in Marcillat-en-Combraille.
On the programme: hikes and mountain bike rides for nature lovers in the heart of the picturesque Gorges du Cher.

Prices: €5 to €8 per person.

Stag bellowing in the Tronçais forest

The time has come… for the stag to bray!

Mysterious and impressive, this enigmatic call begins to resound here and there from mid-September to mid-October, particularly in the Tronçais forest.

In this majestic and mysterious setting, the CAP Tronçais association is offering night-time outings for the general public.

They take place from 8.30pm to 10.30pm on foot from CAP Tronçais and are open to the general public.
Please note! The number of participants per outing is limited to 12 to ensure the best possible listening experience.

The Montluçon Fair has been part of the Montluçon tradition for generations.

The Montluçon Fair has been part of Montluçon’s tradition for generations.

Traders from all over France come together every year, and associations and institutions are also represented.

The2025 edition will take place from Saturday 4 to Sunday 12 October inclusive and will feature the theme “ Caribbean Treasures”.

At the commercial crossroads of the maritime routes linking Europe, Africa and the Americas, the waters of the Caribbean were the obligatory passage for convoys transporting precious metals, sugar, tobacco and coffee to Europe. In the other direction, the ships carried slaves destined for the plantations of the Spanish, then English, French and Dutch colonies.
The area’s ports were also supply points for food. This context made the entire Caribbean Sea an essential strategic zone for the trade of the great European maritime powers, and therefore for buccaneering.
