Over the years, Benoît Larose has built up a most enviable reputation by offering high-quality cuisine, whilst retaining a passion for local produce, which he has skilfully reinvented and elevated.
His restaurant, well known to the people of Montluçon, has established itself over the years and remains a trusted and respected fixture in an often competitive and challenging environment.
Deeply attached to his region, he has, drawing on his experience, constantly challenged himself and adapted to the changing tastes of a clientele ever more eager for something new.

Who is he?

Former head chef under Michel Rubod (Michelin-starred), Benoît Larose has gradually risen through the ranks over the course of his career.
He offers refined cuisine, awarded 3 cocottes by Logis de France.

A spectacular start

Following his training, during which he was named the best apprentice in the Allier department, Benoît Larose cemented his solid culinary expertise during 15 years spent as head chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant ‘Michel Rubod’ in Commentry.

Back to basics

Deeply attached to his home region, he decided to open his own three-star hotel and restaurant, ‘Le Jardin Délice’, in Saint-Victor.

Which dish do you enjoy cooking the most?

All of them! I don’t really have a favourite…
Cooking in general makes me happy.

Which dish could you absolutely never eat?

Er… Strangely enough, none!

Do you have a particular memory or anecdote from the kitchen to share with us?

An unforgettable culinary memory… A proper Breton lobster – SO GOOD!

If you were a sweet dish, you’d be:

A proper rum baba.

A red mullet grilled with oil from Les Baux-de-Provence. Mmm…!
