Montluçon Fair and Exhibition 2026

The Fair has been a firm part of Montluçon’s tradition for many generations.

The Fair has been a long-standing tradition in Montluçon for many generations.

Traders from all over France gather here every year, and various organisations and institutions are also represented.

The 2026 edition will take place from Saturday 3rd to Sunday 11th October inclusive, with the theme ‘ At the Heart of Animated Films’.

This exhibition, organised by Gaillard Décors, invites us to discover the fascinating world of animated films thanks to a partnership with the Toulouse-based animation studio TAT.

This world-renowned studio is behind the creation of numerous films such as *Falcon Express*, *Pattie and the Wrath of Poseidon*, The Adventures of Pil, Jungle Busters 2 and, most recently, a series released on Netflix on 30 April starring Alain CHABAT, *Asterix and Obelix: The Battle of the Chiefs*.

On this interactive tour, visitors will be invited to wander through the studio where it all happens. Step by step, they will discover the film-making process: scriptwriting, the creation of characters and sets, lighting and colour grading, sound effects and music selection, promotional posters, international adaptations…

Next, visitors will be invited to explore the TAT universe through its animated films in settings that are more lifelike than reality, sometimes in a space-age setting (Terra Willy and the Special Adventure), amidst alien flora and fauna, in a medieval setting (Pil’s Adventures in the Heart of the Middle Ages), in the heart of Ancient Greece (Pattie and the Wrath of Poseidon), on a train (Flacon Express) or deep in the heart of the jungle (The Jungle Aces). Visitors will be able to rub shoulders with the films’ heroes in 3D and take selfies, which they will no doubt share in droves on social media!

An original exhibition that has been successfully showcased at the Toulouse and Bordeaux Fairs.

Head to pirate territory for an exotic and immersive journey.
All aboard!
