It’s springtime and the fine weather is back, bringing with it a whole host of events to brighten up your free time!

2026 International Dog Show

Organised by the Société Canine du Bourbonnais every year in mid-March, the International Dog Show provides a platform for many breeds to take centre stage.
The 2026 event will take place on Sunday 15 March at the Monev Exhibition Centre, located on Rue Eugène Sue in Montluçon.

Bœuf-Villé Carnival 2026

The Bœuf-Villé Carnival celebrations traditionally kick off the calendar of local events!

The return of spring is celebrated in style on the streets of Montluçon at an event characterised by a spirit of togetherness and conviviality.

On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March, the Bœuf-Villé Carnival returns!
A weekend of entertainment will welcome in spring with a confetti battle, a torchlight procession, a street parade, the lighting of the castle, a grand parade through the town centre and the burning of Carmentrau by the River Cher.

Ciné en Herbe Festival 2026

“Ciné en Herbe” Short Film Festival on 30 and 31 March and 1 April 2026 in Montluçon

The “CINÉ EN HERBE” events offer the public and secondary school pupils the chance to see the latest French short films (debut films) and to discover the video projects created by pupils studying Cinema and Audiovisual Studies from schools across France.
The “Ciné en Herbe” association originated at the Madame de Staël secondary school in Montluçon, within the Cinema programme, and in partnership with the cultural organisation “Sauve-qui-peut-le-court-métrage” in Clermont-Ferrand.
A non-profit organisation under the 1901 Act, its articles of association were filed with the Montluçon sub-prefecture in January 1987.

The 37th edition of the Ciné en Herbe festival will take place on 30 and 31 March and 1 April 2026 inclusive in Montluçon, at the Théâtre Gabrielle Robinne and Le Palace cinema ( programme and poster to follow).
